Getting Started Tutorial

Welcome to AI Betting Edge. We strongly recommend you go through this short tutorial to ensure you’re up to speed on how to use our website and place the bets we post.

Website Navigation

  1. The first thing you need to do is make sure you have an account at DraftKings sportsbook or Caesars sportsbook. Almost all of the bets we post are on DraftKings, and Caesars offers similar lines. FanDuel DOES NOT offer many of the lines that we like to bet on. If you’re completely new to sports betting, make sure you install the DraftKings Sportsbook app, not the regular DraftKings daily fantasy app
  2. The next thing you’ll want to do is familiarize yourself with our Betting Dashboard. This will be the page where you spend 99% of your time. You can access it by clicking the “Today’s Bets” button as circled in the image below:
  3. Each morning, the first thing we do is post our machine learning prediction tables. You can access them by clicking the “Today’s Machine Learning Prediction Tables” tab in the Betting Dashboard as circled in the image below:
  4. This is the most important section. There are 3 different types of bets we place on DraftKings – Straight bets, Parlays, and Hybrids. Since some of you have reached out to me slightly confused (in particular about how to place hybrids), below you can find a video for each type of bet, showing you exactly how to place them.

Straight Bet

This one is pretty obvious. You just go to the game, find the market you want to bet on, find the player you want to bet on, and place the bet. Outlined in the video below.

The main difference between placing a parlay on DraftKings and a straight bet is that you have to click on Same Game Parlay (SGP). I’ll walk you through the process in the video below:

Hybrid bets are combinations of straight bets and parlays. This is where many of you get confused. The key here is you have to select one play as a straight bet, and a second play as a same game parlay. If that sounds confusing, just watch the video below and you’ll understand.
